SAFMA National Documentary Festival
Talking Faith has been screened at the National Documentary Festival by SAFMA (South Asian Free Media Association) on 15 December, 09. The event took place at the South Asian Media Centre in Lahore, and the screening was held under the category of “People, and Peace”. The screening was followed by the responses from the panelists and an open house discussion. Among the respondents were Munu Bhai, President Free Media Foundation and Shirin Pasha, Head Film and TV department at the National College of Arts in Lahore. Other documentaries being screened at the festival were mostly independent ventures on social and political issues including Battle for Pakistan by Maheen Zia, Mukhtar Mai by Beena Sarwar, Freedom’s Sisters by Maham Nabi Malik, and another documentary on the rights of religious minorities, In the Name of Faith by Naveed Naseem.
