A little bit about us

The process of creating this website is quite interesting. It’s a positive outcome of globalization, I like to think.

Well… The film was shot in Pakistan, with Pakistani people and stories, and a Pakistani director: Naveen.

The website is been managed from Brazil, by Brazilian people: Gustavo (that’s me) and André (my brother, who’s going to help with the photo editing).

And we all know each other because once we lived, worked and became friends in Geneva, Switzerland, at the World Council of Churches (which is also the film sponsor).

There you go… We have Asia, South America, North America and Europe, all connected to make this project possible. The positive site of globalization, I say!

Being a colleague of naveen’s i have been a part of the making of this documentary since day one. All the hard work that went in to the making of this documentary is evident. Well-done naveen and the entire crew of the film for producing and directing a documentary film of international standard.

A nice website! When do you plan on adding content to the “Impact” section? That should be very interesting – i wanted to see what was in that section before anything else on the site!
Naveen, i’ve still got to watch the film. It sounds very interesting judging from the bits on the website.
Gustavo, have heard a lot from Naveen about you and the rest in your group! Great work! — and yes, a perfect example of a ‘global village’ shrinking by the day!!

The interreligious realities in Pakistan are not very bright or poetic but creating a film in this situation requires a great deal of hard work. This film has been made with a very fresh and creative perception and the last few moments or mere poetry. good luck.

Hi guys! Here’s another voice from someone who’s stayed in – now sunny – Geneva (because it’s her hometown…). Congratulations to the whole team, and especially to Naveen, I am really stunned about how the whole project and website have come together! Naveen you know how the theme is dear to me so it’s great to see that seeds are blooming in other parts of the world… Let’s keep up the good work! I’de by happy to have a hard copy of the movie and advertise it on our own website – http://www.coexist.ch – devoted to youth interfaith dialogue in and around Geneva. Best wishes to you and also to dedicated Gustavo! Hi ho!!

Naveen its great to see your dream becoming a reality. Well done!I am glad to be part of it.

This work explores some of the crucial issues the world has to face today.

Peace is the need of the day. The differences only widens the gap between us and destroys the special bond which we all have as a human family.

This documentary is indeed a great reflection of interreligious harmony in the local context. The most useful aspect of Talking Faith is that while it tells a specific story , it connects the audience to a much wider set of issues.

  10. Shaji says:

Well, can’t tell you how the movie is itself as I’m still downloading, but I hope it would be good. Commendable effort indeed.

Just wanted to give praise where praise is due….I just saw a few video clips online of the documentary you made/collaborated on and they were excellent. You raise some very relevant and controversial topics in the clips I saw…keep it up. Information sharing and the dispelling of myths/propaganda is the only way truth can be disseminated. In the US most of the press coverage about the Middle East/Muslim countries is often biased and rather negative. It is rare to hear a news report of youngsters discussing religious tension amicably in the context of their own environment.

  12. Ayesha Iqbal says:

i found this website soooo interesting that its now hard for me to wait to watch the documentary…Film is based on a very sensitive issue which is thought-provoking n touches us all in one way or the other. cheers to débutante director Naveen for a great work….!!!
